The Center of Excellence for Aerospace and Advanced Materials Manufacturing tends to fly under the radar of most organizations, yet is instrumental in creating impact by connecting education and industry.

The Center of Excellence is pulling together groups of people who typically wouldn't work together, but have synergy to create quality jobs in Washington State.

Our efforts create real impact.

For example, in working with Boeing we have helped to develop an aerospace curriculum that can be used in high school Skills Centers to train young students to enter advanced manufacturing, machining, or any other aerospace related field.

We don't dally in generalities. Our goal is to meet a need to get people working in Washington State. We just happen to put the emphasis on our partnership and outcomes over bold marketing.

Granite Falls "ShopGirls"
Granite Falls High School northeast of Seattle is doing something extraordinary. They are training girls to design, build and manufacture cars while learning applied math and job skills that they can take to the bank later.
